  SIUE's East St. Louis Center for Performing Arts (CPA) provides a lecture and youth demonstration featuring Katherine Dunham trained instructors at SIUE Lovejoy Library on October 23, 2017. Those instructors are: Jack Williams, Andrea Smythe and Master Drummer Gerald Williams. Youth from the CPA perform dance and drum techniques.

  Ser Seshsh Ab Heter-C.M. Boxley, curator of the Forks of the Road exhibit discusses the importance of memorializing this slave market site in Natchez, MS. The lecture was presented on September 13, 2016 by CAS Historical Studies and Library and Information Services of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
